on thurs big sis sent mom for her post-hospitalization check up.. the result is that mom has to go for op on 10th april.. that is exactly a week after her 65th birthday.. i must admit i am quite worried but i hope for the best.. i pray that everything will be alright after the op.. i just wanted to see mom healthy again just like before..

and this weekend is the busiest for me.. on saturday i had rushed to Shuqun Primary for the meet-the-parents session with both Aimin & Tin2's form teachers.. it's over at 10+.. so i decided to take cab to Jalan Besar Stadium to bring my sons for the Youth Soccer Trial for the 2010 youth olympics.. there was no empty cab in sight so i called for one.. but by the time i reached the stadium the trial was already over... nothing can describe how i felt.. disappointment, guilty, sad... the fact that my hubby had just bought for them shoes just for the trial made me felt worse.. surprisingly, i didn't cry.. i'm not sure why.. maybe it's a blessing in disguise? maybe there'll be another greater opportunity waiting for them? i can just hope that one day they'll be able to try out for another trial... we took mrt (yup only the four of us minus my hubby) from lavender to boon lay as i wanted to cheer them up and bring them to Jurong Point.. also wanted to buy a belated birthday present for my lil niece Orchid

and today i cooked laksa for my lil sis who's been craving for it.. mom came over too.. i bought a birthday cake for orchid and my BIL who celebrated his birthday yesterday.. some of the silat members also came for a meeting.. so they get to taste my laksa too.. heheheh..

yesterday was Shuqun Primary sports day at Jurong West Stadium.. both of us sent Aimin to the stadium as competitors had to reach there by 11.30am.. brought Tisya along who despite having fever insists on coming along.. its the first time we went to the stadium and we had no idea where it is.. it looks quite new.. Aimin had been unsure whether he'll be competing or not since the day before.. and he thought he wasn't selected.. he's been down ever since but yesterday morning when he found out that he is competing in the 100m boys event, he was more cheerful.. i prayed so hard that he'll get at least the top 3.. and he did! Aimin finished 3rd in the event!.. congrats sayang! if only you can hear me cheering at the top of my voice when you are reaching the finishing line.. hehehhe...

and today since its a public holiday (Good Friday), we spent the whole day at mum's house... just to keep her company and help out since she's still not that strong yet.. It's raining in the afternoon and we had a great time napping and watching tv... :-)

yesterday morning my sons performed at the jurong green cc open house... they did very well.. esp for aimin who just learnt the steps the day before... the other performances are also great.. they performed for a whole 15 mins.. the whole event was over at noon.. we went straight home to get ready... had promised mom that we'll go and visit her.. I've been having sore throat since friday and my voice has been very coarse till today.. actually i kinda liked this voice.. sounds sexy.. haha... spent the whole afternoon at my mom's place.. i managed to sleep for abt 2 hrs.. had taken panadol earlier for my headache... felt better after i woke up.. big sis came in the evening.. and mom had a visitor who came to see how she's been.. glad that mom looked much better now.. even though her appetite is still not as good.. i will keep praying for her good health and also for my whole family...

i just can't understand some ppl.. i was manning the counter and pabx while my colleague went for lunch when suddenly a woman with a crying child approached me asking for the A&E .. i told her that we dont have any A&E services.. she seemed somewhat appalled when she heard it.. so i tried to help by calling the only private clinic but no answer so i guess they must have closed for lunch.. then i called the ward but the NO asked me to advise the woman to bring her child to the nearest A&E.. so i told her but she insisted for us to render treatment for her child... so another staff who was standing there and aware of what's happening asked them to go to the ward straight and see if they could help.. what i dont understand is that if only they would catch a cab and immediately go to TTSH or SGH the faster the child will receive treatment...

My whole family had a very intense week.. mom was admitted to NUH on sunday nite. She had been having abdominal pain for quite some time and initially the pain would go away.. but as time passed by it takes longer time to relief the pain and on sunday the pain was worse.. until mom asked us to bring her to hospital... it was unusual for her since normally she would endure the pain as long as she can.. so we rushed her to NUH A&E and big bro waited for us there.. after all the tests and observations, doc decided to admit mom for further tests and treatment.. all of us were very very worried as she has never been this sick before.. when mom was finally brought to the ward and settled on the bed, it was already midnight.. but truthfully, i didn't feel like going home esp seeing her writhing in pain and unable to sleep.. she vomitted twice in the ward.. me and hubby were prepared to stay there with her the whole night.. but big bro volunteered to stay with mum and he took turns with my SIL (her father was also admitted at the same time to the ward opposite).. that night we reached home at almost 2 am.. but we couldnt sleep and when we finally did it was already 4 am.. took urgent leave the next day and spent the whole day in hospital.. mom was still in pain.. and finally we got to know the diagnosis.. she has gallstones.. quite a number of ppl came to visit her on monday.. but we have yet to bring the kids as i do not want them to make noise when mom is still in pain.. on tuesday i went to work in the morning but i couldnt concentrate on my work.. so i talked to my sup and he allowed me to take half day.. so i went straight to NUH after work.. bro called when i was on my way and told me mom had to be operated on but through scope.. at 3pm.. but by the time i reached the endoscopy centre mom had already went in and lil sis was waiting outside.. however i managed to see mom for a while.. she went in at 2.45pm but only came out at 6.15!.. my poor mom had to wait in there for 3 hrs before its finally her turn... anyway, what matters most is everything went smoothly for her.. she looked more lively after that.. dad had helped to fetch the kids in the evening as mom had been asking for them.. and big sis also brought her kids along.. my buddy sakinah also came to visit and she reached there early cos her office is in NUS.. i went home that night feeling relieved after seeing my mom getting better.. and today she was finally discharged.. she will be staying at my place till she's well enough.. we held doa selamat for her at night and we will never stop praying for her health.. not only for her but for all of us..

yesterday was sendeng's anniversary at hougang.. reached there at 3.30pm.. luckily the weather was fine.. it was not sunny and it's not raining.. even though it was raining in the morning... there was rehearsal earlier.. and i must say our JGCC guys did pretty well.. i had a good time too watching them.. the whole thing started at 7.30.. the GOH came and they continue with the rest of the programme.. the whole thing ended at 10pm..

and today we have a wedding to attend.. luckily it's just nearby.. abt a bus stop away from our hse.. went with my parents.. and after that mom stayed at my hse to rest.. she had been wanting to eat ubi rebus.. so we went to the market this morning.. after the wedding i cooked sambal ikan bilis to go with the ubi rebus.. i was so happy to see mom enjoying it.. and that is what i call satisfaction.. :-)
