Went to mediacorp to watch Sinaran Hati which was shown live on Suria.. my beloved niece Orchid performed in one of the songs.. lil sis had bought the tics and all of us went including mama!.. orchid was wearing a white gown and she looked like one of disney's princesses... we sat on the upper gallery and i could see that she was looking for us.. we shouted her name and i think she heard it.. only she didn't know we were on the upper gallery... it was at the end of the show when she finally saw us and her face lit up!

the show was flawless.. but what i wanted to share was the way they organised the entrance for the audiences... we reached there pretty early.. about 7.. and after going up and down the lift looking for the entrance, finally we found the queue and there were already a lot of people crowding the place.. waiting for them to open the gates was bad enough.. but the worst thing is when they let in those who bought the $20 tics first! and to add to my frustration, the staff shouted '$10 move back!!'.. couldn't they have been more polite and say it in a nicer way??? and to think that they worked for a BIG company like mediacorp... what's more, i don't find anything wrong in letting everyone enter since the seats are already segregated for $10, $20 & $50 tics rite?? or at least they could have put up signs and separate the queues in the first place... then it would be more organised don't you think?? luckily my mom had brought her portable chair so she could sit while waiting.. imagine if she had to stand all the way.. by 7.45 we are still waiting outside the gate.. and the tics had clearly stated 'to be seated by 7.45'! by this time lil sis (and some others i'm sure) had already lost her patience.. when our turn finally came to enter the auditorium, true enough there were different entrances for the $20 tics holders.. so why the heck they stressed so much earlier that the $20 tics went in first!!!! i really hope they do a much much better job in the future.. its not like they did not anticipate large crowds since the tics are all sold out... so they could have been more organised and this is not the first time they are having live shows...

anyway, during the show as expected there are 'suaku' girls who shouted when anuar zain, aliff aziz and a few others came out on stage... well for the 10 of us, the only time we shouted is when Orchid appeared on stage.. hahahha.. after the show, we went to fetch Orchid at the reception and by the time she came out, she was super exhausted.. the moment she went into the car, off to dreamland she goes.. zzzzzz... i guess at a very young age, she had already tasted life as an artiste!.. hahhahaha

I accompanied Aimin to Jurong Spring CC to receive his Edusave Award which he was granted for his good academic performance last year.. Alhamdulillah.. The three of us.. me, tisya and aimin arrived at JSCC at 8.20 pm.. i was expecting there would be tables or at least chairs for us parents to sit down and watch the ceremony.. but... there were none! and all the students sat on the floor.. i was thinking that they could at least provide the students chairs to sit... after registering at the so-called counter, aimin was asked to sit down together with the other students and we parents were told to WAIT OUTSIDE.. gosh, and they called this a ceremony??.. whatever.. as long as my son received his well-deserved award.. hope this will be a motivation for him to continue studying hard for the years to come.. Insya Allah

Today is the Islamic New Year.. also known as Maal Hijrah..

Maal Hijrah

Maal Hijrah, which is also called Awal Muharram, is an important day for muslim. It falls on the first day of Muharram on every Muslim calender year, which is the first day on muslim calender.

The meaning of Maal Hijrah in English is migration. On this day, Muslim remember Nabi Muhammad S.A.W migrate from Mekkah to Madinah on the year 622 A.D. Besides, Maal Hijrah also mean changes from bad to good side and can be said as starting point and evaluate inner-self on self achievement.

Awal means begining in English and Muharram is the first month of muslim calender. In another words, this is the first day in Muslim calendar. Therefore, this is also the new year for all Muslim.

This day has became an important religious day for all muslim. All the mosque will have solat sunat.

yesterday went to lis&mik's house for thanksgiving.. for a number of good things.. new job, new schools and.... NEW BABY on the way!!!... yipppeeeee.. sorry sis.. can't help it lah.. i'm so elated.. Alhamdulillah.. so glad to hear that i'm going to have another niece/nephew.. Insya Allah.. in fact yesterday was most wonderful.. misunderstandings resolved plus wonderful news for all of us.. oh yeah forgot something.. Congratulations Lis and Mik! and to Mak & Mama too.. in receiving their 11th grandchild.. heheheh

as for the thanksgiving it's a feast with yummylicious food and the forever kecohrable cuzzies.. the 8 kiddies played, joked, laughed together.. too bad yasmeen & haikal wasn't there.. otherwise it would have been The Fantastic 10 (just 2 short of the Cheaper By The Dozen movie.. if you know what i mean..heheheh).. ok ok i know i should stop my nonsensical blabber now.. before it gets any worse.. :-P

and also a gentle reminder for lis.. if it's a boy i've asked her to name after hady mirza.. or at least one half of it.. hahahhaha.. ok ok i'm going off now.. ciao

ps.. looking forward to this saturday when Aimin will be receiving his Edusave Award at Jurong Spring CC.. will update again then.. :D

school reopens today.. and aimin is excited to start the school in the morning session.. but we overslept today.. woke up at 6.30! .. luckily me and hubby are not working today.. so we sent aimin straight to school by bus.. reached the school in 20 mins when we can actually made it in 10 mins.. thanks to the traffic jam near the school... ok it's not really a great start to the new school term.. but we managed to reach on time... phewww!!.. went straight to Teh Tarik for breakfast and buy food for Khairin and Tisya, who was still sleeping when we left the house.. As for Khairin he's still in the afternoon session.. but he'll be alone this year without his bro.. guess it'll be different for him but he'll get used to it.. he took the school transport at 11.45am.. then at 1.10pm we went down again to fetch Aimin.. i thought we could finally rest for the remaining afternoon.. but then Aimin mentioned that he has to bring a set of English books that were not on the booklist.. and now then he mentioned that his booklist are the 'special' ones.. with an extra English books.. so off we went to Shuqun Primary to get the books as he has to bring them tomorrow.. then we decided to bring Tisya to Jurong Polyclinic to get her rashes checked by the doctor.. the doc had wanted to carry out blood test on her but it was too late so we arranged for an appointment for Saturday.. and for your info, the doc wasn't exactly very friendly.. i guess that's why they didn't put the doc's name on the door... anyway, i decided to bring Tisya back on Saturday since it's my day off.. ok so it's wednesday and it's time for silat at night..

It's dearest hubby's birthday today... so he's a New Year baby.. hahha... but there's really no celebrations this year.. i'm really not in a holiday mood this year.. unlike previous years.. normally Christmas/New Year are my fav holidays.. but somehow this year is different.. anyway, Happy Birthday to my beloved hubby Badruljshizan... hope this year will be more significant for all of us and may there be greater and better things to come.. and also this year we'll be celebrating our 10th anniversary in June! Yay!.. can't wait for it.. hehehhe

And talking about new year, i'm sure most ppl are sick of the word 'resolutions'.. so i'm not gonna use that word.. but on top of the same old wishes that i have every year.. that is.. good health, prosperity, happiness, peace, more meaningful life.. for this year i'm hoping to get a better job (since i've given up hope on my current one), spend more time revising with my boys and hopefully i get to take the first step to getting my driving licence!
