after more than a month's break, silat training finally resumes tonite.. i was pretty excited cos it's hubby's first lesson.. told him to take whatever supplements he needs to gear up for the training.. hehehe

when it was time to start everyone was excited but they tire easily.. maybe due to the long break.. hubby looked very tired after doing some exercises.. got to admit i was worried for him.. worry that he may get asthmatic but he assured me that it was only muscle aches.. anyway i will keep on supporting for him and the boys..

Well here i am at work and updating my blog.. hey what do you expect? being in the office early saturday morning.. with my eyes half open right now.. but then at least i can continue to watch my fav series on youtube.. heheheehee

after work gotta go to my parents' hse to help out my mom.. lil sis's FIL is coming together with all her in-laws.. mom will be cooking ayam korma and kari ayam to eat with bread.. yumm yummmmm...

quite looking forward to the Perjumpaan hari raya tonight at Clementi CC.. my uncle will be the MC and he has asked me and Bad to join the ketupat making and ikat sampin competition respectively.. all of us including my parents, lil sis and family will be taking up one table.. shall update again with all the details :-)

the perjumpaan was fun despite us arriving 1/2 hour late.. lucky thing they has not started with the main course yet.. heehee.. all of us got a surprise when my uncle sang and danced on stage.. Go Cik Yas! .. and hubby won 1st prize in the ikat sampin competition.. yayyy!!! the whole thing ended at almost 10.30 .. good thing it's a sunday tomorrow.. :-)

Dunno what's wrong with me.. been snapping at almost everyone for the past few days.. my husband, my kids, my maid.. haizzzz.. must be the PMS... been feeling very tired and sleepy too.. and to add to my monday blues today, i was asked to cover operator duties this morning.. damn.. what a lousy start to the week... just hope that i won't snap at the public.. you know how irritating these ppl can be at times...

Slept at 1 am last nite after going hari raya visiting.. went to Bukit Panjang to Kak Wek's hse and Kak Yati's hse.. after that straight to AMK to Nolin's hse and the last hse we went to is at Eunos (went to visit Mik's dad)... reached home at 11+ and by the time we went to sleep it's almost 1am..

and this week i'm also stressed out becos my boys will be taking their SA2 exams.. felt guilty that i did not spend much time revising with them.. been very very tired lately.. but i am confident that they will do their best.. promised them that i'll get them something if they did well for the exams.. good luck boys!

We continue our visiting again today.. started from 4 pm and went straight to Woodlands first.. went to Obek Misah's house then to Abang Li, Abang Ajan, Cik Melly, not forgetting Big Sis's house and lastly we went to Petir Road to visit my FIL.. reached there quite late at almost 11 pm.. Upon reaching the house, mom suddenly felt breathless and she had stomach pain.. we were very worried but luckily for us, my FIL and his wife were very hospitable.. they helped us and finally mom felt better after taking some meds and resting.. left the house at 11.40 pm and reached home after midnight.. i managed to sleep at almost 1.30 am and tomorrow it's back to work again for us.. sigh..

It's the second day of Hari Raya and also my BIRTHDAY!! Received a number of smses wishing me Happy Birthday.. and since it's a Sunday, we expect to see a lot of families go visiting.. and also Lil Sis had gone visiting with Mik's family so i decided not to go anywhere and just spend the day at mom's place to help her out since a lot of ppl are coming today... Managed to take a nap in the afternoon before ppl started coming.. Kak Wek and her whole family came first.. and followed by another cousins, Kak Mek and Abg Acit & their respective families..

SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI kepada semua umat Islam tidak kira dimana .. dan kepada keluarga tersayang, semua kawan2 dan rakan sekerja.. maaf zahir dan batin di atas semua kesilapan.. yang disengajakan atau pun tidak.. This year's Hari Raya is special for me as it falls on 13th Oct.. a day before my 34th birthday (oops.. there goes my secret :P)

On the morning of Hari Raya, we ate together as a family before getting ready to wear new clothes and visit my parents.. The weather today was nice.. it was raining but not too heavy and not too hot.. just perfect for me.. Left home at 2 pm and reached my parents' place at 2.20pm.. This year we were the first one to arrive.. Yayyy!!! Lil sis and family was the second one to arrive followed by Big Bro and family.. Big sis and family came last.. (mcm lumba lari pulak.. heheheh).. and Cik Yas also came.. It was super kecoh and the best thing is Lil Sis had bought a birthday cake for me!.. and we celebrated together with all the October babies.. Cik Yas, Abg Mamat (my BIL), Yasmeen (my niece) and not forgetting my beloved boy Khairin.. It was soooooooo hilarious as all of them sang the birthday song, mentioning all the names.. After eating the birthday cake, we set off to visit our aunts at Bukit Batok and then to Clementi to visit Cik Yas.. then we went straight to Dover to my bro's house.. this time all of us went together and the best thing is we managed to start our visiting earlier than the previous years and also this time all of us went together.. it was fun and we managed to take some memorable photos of the whole family and siblings (not forgetting all the in-laws too :D).. after that they all went to our house except for Big Sis and family (they had to rush home as they are expecting some visitors).. I managed to sneak to NTUC Fairprice at Esso and bought some mee, veg and fish cake.. wanted to cook a simple mee soup for mom.. she had mentioned that she felt like eating mee soup (i guess all that rendang, lontong, ketupat is enough for her already).. All of them went home at ard midnight.. It was tiring but I really enjoyed Aidilfitri this year.. for some special reasons ;-)

it's hari raya eve today.. and the day most muslims are busy preparing to celebrate Aidilfitri.. and it's half day for all muslim staff..

morning
dad fetched us and send Tumy to my parents' house to help my mom with the cooking
then he sent us to work.. i'm bringing along all three clowns to work today..
work till 12 pm.. went to see my muslim friends to wish selamat hari raya
dad fetched us from work and sent us home

afternoon
reached home at 12.30pm
1pm.. start cooking for hari raya
cooked ayam masak merah first as it took more time to cook.. then followed by kuah lontong and lastly daging dendeng.. managed to finish cooking by 4.45 pm but you shd have seen the mess my kitchen was in.. hahahhaha.. after i'm done with the cooking it's time to boil the instant ketupat.. and while waiting finally i'm able to rest.. by this time my feet are already aching.. and tisya and khairin are already asleep.. so aimin was all alone watching tv until i joined him.. called Bad at 5.45pm and he was already in dad's cab going to collect the ketupat and lontong that mak ordered.. he was surprised that i've finished cooking earlier than expected.. hehehehe

evening
time to break fast and the moment i've been waiting for.. to hear the takbir.. after hubby came home, we ate together.. after eating we tidy up the house and rearrange the furniture.. managed to get some rest before we washed up and went to makmama's house..

night
left home at 9pm and went to Giant IMM for a while.. need to do some last minute shopping... and had to rush to mum and dad's hse to watch Sinar Lebaran to see our beloved Orchid on TV.. reached my parents' hse at 10.20 pm.. missed the opening segment of the show where Orchid first appeared but she was on TV again during the ending.. all of us were superexcited.. i was surprised to see mum more relaxed this year on hari raya eve.. normally at this time she's still in the kitchen cooking.. and most of all i was glad that she had finished cooking early and rest before the hari raya eve show starts so we could all watch together.. lil sis and big sis also came and all the kids went downstairs to play bunga api.. and all of us are excited for the big day tomorrow.. Hari Raya Aidilfitri! Hooray!!

can't believe how fast time flies.. 4 more days and we will be celebrating Hari Raya Puasa.. and today i got the help of a fren (thanx so much.. muahhhh) to change my song for my blog to Aman Shah's Kepulangan Yang Dinanti.. this song holds a special memory for me, my sisters and my parents.. When my dearest bro first enlisted in NS (can't remember which year), it was just after Hari Raya and so it was a very emotional time for us.. soon after we sent him off to camp, this song was playing on the radio.. me and my sister couldn't stop crying.. and i distinctively remembered while listening to this song, a truck of nsmen passed by, which of course reminded us of our bro and made us cry even more... those army guys must be wondering why i was crying like mad.. haha

and also today i wanted to share this really really really cute video which a friend just sent to me.. can't help smiling when i viewed this video.. so enjoy!

This weekend we had planned to break fast at geylang.. lil sis had reserved a table at Tanjong Katong Cafe.. we left home at 5 pm and took bus 197.. somehow this time the journey took longer than before.. maybe it's because of the heavy traffic and also it's a saturday.. we reached TKC at 7 pm.. just in time to break fast .. ordered Penang Kway Teow and hubby ordered Fish Head Curry noodle.. Khairin received his birthday presents from mum, dad and lil sis.. and the best thing happened to me too.. i received my advanced birthday present too!!.. such a pleasant surprise.. and when i opened it, it was 2 sets of baju kurung! .. one red and one pink.. i tried it on at RH boutique (where sis bought it from) right after i finished eating.. the sizes are just right and i loved both baju kurung.. can't wait to wear it for hari raya.. hee3x.. Thanks so much everyone!

To all the children HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY!.. my boys had received their goodie bags on Friday.. lots and lots of goodies.. boy, their faces were so bright and cheerful when i came back from work and they proudly showed me all their goodies.. i just hope they took their time to finish all the candies.. esp khairin whose front tooth are just waiting to fall off..
