went to Geylang today to buy Hari Raya clothes for the whole family.. reached geylang at ard 4 plus.. it was already so crowded despite of the hot afternoon weather.. we took bus 197 from JE interchange all the way to TKC.. the journey took abt 1 hr but i dun mind as we get to sleep in the bus.. hehehhe

went to TKC and then to the bazaar outside, surveying the clothes and the price.. when it's time for break fast we still have not bought anything yet.. we ate by the roadside just in front of the shop where we plan to buy baju kurung for the boys.. the moment they reopen for business we quickly went to buy as we had anticipated more crowd as more ppl finished their break fast.. then off we went to TKC to look for mine and tisya's clothes..

we set off for home at 10.30 pm.. tried to get a cab but it's just so impossible to get one.. we walked slowly to Haig Rd and saw a couple of empty cabs but they were quickly taken by other ppl.. waited for more than 1/2 hr and when we finally saw an empty cab, there was this couple who just appeared out of nowhere and got into the cab! I was fuming mad.. there we were standing and waiting for a cab with 3 kids, my feet are already aching and some idiots just 'jumped queue' without any consideration for those who waited earlier.. arrrrgggggghhhhhh!!! i really have zero tolerance for these inconsiderate people.. in the end we called for a cab and despite the extra booking fees, we were relieved once we reached home.. luckily for the kids it's Children's Day tomorrow and so it's a school holiday.. so they have the whole day to rest..

its saturday and i'm working again this week.. sigh.. got to drag myself to work.. did not bring my kids as mom will be fetching them to lil sis's house in the morning.. me and hubby will be going there after work.. this week we'll be breaking fast at eunos.. wonder what lil sis is going to cook for us today? hmmmmmmmmm ;-)

today decided to go to selera ramadan to buy some kuehs for break fast.. Tisya wanted to come along but she had brought along her toy pram with baby pooh and piglet inside (its her birthday gifts from obek tati.. hehehe) .. aiyoh how to go inside and squeeze through the crowd? had asked aimin and arin to come along so they could keep an eye on their lil sis while i go in and buy the food.. but they did not want to as there are many people... haizzzz got no choice but to go and buy other things at the provision shop first so by the time we got back there the crowd had subsided.... anyway, its ok for me as long as my little girl is happy! :)

today lil sis and mom and dad are coming to break fast at my place.. mom came in the morning after going to the market.. cooked nasi lemak with the sambal, fried fish and chicken wings and omelette.. lil sis had brought mee hoon goreng and laksa goreng.. started cooking at 4 pm.. mom also made bubur kacang with durian to eat with french loaf.. the kids as usual are having fun playing around the house.. otet showed me her photo in this month's issue of Manja.. the photo is from the Hari Raya eve's show that she's involved in.. she's so proud of it and showed it to everyone.. hehehhe

today i decided to break fast at my parents' place.. wanted to give them a surprise so i did not tell them in advance... after work went to fetch kids then to selera ramadhan and mr teh tarik to buy food.. by the time i bought food it was already time to break fast.. took cab to Jurong East and met hubby at the void deck.. mom was pleasantly surprised and dad came home not long after.. after eating we stayed around for a while before going home..

i'm down wif a very bad cold today... argggghhhhhhh.. hate it hate it hate it!.. not sure where i got the virus from.. cos i was okay at home and it only started when i was on my way to work.. hmm could it be the commuters in mrt? i think so cos i started sneezing when i was in the mrt.. and it got worse throughout the day... been tempted to break my fast so i could take some meds.. but then decided to uphold my fast for today.. and i did! yayyyyyyyy bravo!!

felt like it was quite some time since i last updated my blog.. dun worry I'm not MIA.. just nothing to write actually.. hehehe

today is already the 7th day of ramadhan.. very fast rite? still haven't buy Hari Raya clothes for my kids and ourselves.. maybe next week.. well for me actually I still have past years' Hari Raya baju kurung which I can still wear.. no problem for me.. but definitely have to buy for the kids.. Luckily, I already bought shoes and some modern clothes for them.. by modern clothes i mean dresses and shirts.. so now have to buy baju kurung for them..

today is the MOH licensing audit for amkh.. everyone (except me that is.. hehehe) has been busy gearing up for the 'big' thing.. well, i remembered the last time they came everyone was so stressed up including me.. but now i know it's actually nothing to be worried about.. they asked the same questions which are related to the work that we do everyday.. waited till 11.30am.. still no sign of them.. sigh! can't wait for 12pm so i could rest.. finally at 11.45 they came.. and only left at 12.15.. there goes 15 mins of my lunch hour.. haizzzzzzzz

Today is 1st ramadhan.. it marks the beginning of fasting month for all muslims.. Syukur alhamdulillah I am able to meet this Ramadhan again.. To all muslims, Selamat menjalani ibadah puasa dan semoga kita tabah dalam melalui bulan yang mulia ini.. Insya Allah..

And... today i can start to go back @ 4.45! Yayyyyyy!!! Reached my sons' school just in time @6 pm.. quite a number of parents are already waiting for their kids.. waited abt 10 mins before finally able to fetch my sons.. took bus home and thot of going to Selera Ramadan.. me and the boys managed to squeeze in for a while before i gave up and quickly get out of the place.. it was SOOOOO crowded.. not even the tiniest space for my kids to squeeze.. i guess i'll have to wait for another week for the crowd to subside before i go there again.. :)

Break fast for today is just a simple affair for us.. i cooked veg soup and there's fried salted fish with pounded red chilli and lime juice and also omelette.. but the best food is still the bubur masjid and kuih kasui that hubby bought earlier.. yummyyyyyyyy

right now i'm feeling confused, sad and i'm caught in the middle.. and i feel like screaming out.. just to let you know that i love you both very much and remember how the three of us always spend time together.. i really hope that we could iftar together this weekend.. i dun care which day it is.. all i hope is we could continue doing what we've always done for the past few years.. both of you have helped me a lot in the past and you are both equally important to me.. so to do something without any one of you will not be meaningful..

today is my saturday off again.. brought the kids to Changi Airport.. had been wanting to bring them there.. me together with the kids took mrt to Tanah Merah and met hubby there.. reached the airport @ 3.30pm.. went to the food court at the basement.. they had revamped the place and it looks much better and cleaner now.. and there are more varieties for us to choose from.. the prices are also not that bad..
After eating, we walked around just to spend time there.. left the place @6pm and reached home @7.15 pm.. the kids get ready for their silat.. today is the last day of training.. there won't be any sessions during the fasting month and it will only resume on 31st october.. it will be boring without any silat training.. i always looked forward to it every week.. i loved to watch them practising.. even though i had to wait there for 2 hrs but i didn't mind... and also today hubby had signed up to join them after Hari Raya.. yup hard to believe right? but it's true.. i hope it will be a good start to encourage more dads to join so that they will have a bigger group..

lil sis had called to say that Otet is on TV during the news.. they had recorded the Hari Raya show this afternoon and they are showing a brief preview of the recording.. we standby in front of the TV 5 mins before the news .. true enough, she's there with other kids and artistes.. she looked very lovely in her baju kurung.. i managed to record the clip on my hp as lil sis did not manage to watch it.. i am so proud of her and just couldn't wait to watch her on Hari Raya eve..

on afternoon off today.. claiming my half day for the flag day.. some of them had remarked that how come i only claim now after so long.. well, all i can say is.. nobody .. not even my boss or supervisor has told me there's a time frame or whatsoever.. and no one told me that i'm supposed to claim within a period of time.. so why bother? its not like i'm claiming more than anyone else..

in the morning i received a sad news.. my dearest buddy's dad had just passed away.. he had been sick and just discharged from the hospital.. and my buddy along with her siblings had been taking care of him.. to my dearest buddy Sakinah, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.. I know you have always fulfilled your duties as a daughter.. Just know that i'll always be here for you.. Be strong, my friend..

after i finished work @12.30, lil sis fetched me and off we went to send my beloved Otet to Mediacorp.. she was involved in the Hari Raya show.. she's part of Seri Warisan and she's always loved tarian.. I am sure this will be a good exposure for her.. But one thing's for sure.. I can't wait to see her on TV on Hari Raya eve.. heheheh... We reached there @1.15 and it's supposed to start @2.. but we waited till 3pm before she finally went in.. well no complaints for me.. as i get to sit there and try to catch sight of any artistes.. i saw Rahimah Rahim, Imran Ajmain, Norfasarie, Jatt.. i must say they are not really my eye candy.. i was really hoping to bump into Hady Mirza or Taufik Batisah.. hehehheh

after Otet went in, we went straight to fetch mom and the kids.. then we went to IMM for lunch and off to CSC Bt Batok as the kids had wanted to swim.. we managed to play bowling for a while before going home..
Reached home @7.30 and after resting for while, we get ready to go to Sakinah's house to visit her.. met Shima and her family and we went up together... by that time there were not many people around and my buddy looked very tired.. we stayed there till 10.30 pm

i had emailed to my boss yesterday asking for permission to leave early during fasting month.. and.. she has approved!!.. she replied to me this morning and i had been nervous to open her email.. but i was soooooooo happy that her reply was a positive one.. short and simple.. i guess lady bosses are not all that bad at times.. hee3x.. but i really appreciate her understanding... i will report to work at 8 and leave the office at 4.45pm.. need to fetch my sons from school as they will be dismissed @6pm for the whole of Ramadhan.. However, I heard some sarcastic remarks regarding my early release.. some of the staff had made comments like how come i can go back early and is it all malays can go back early during the fasting month.. it sure sounds racist to me and in the first place it did not affect them a little bit.. so why bother?.. for those (talam dua muka) ppl who said that, i had genuine reasons for doing this and its not because i'm malay.. and its not for my own pleasure mind you.. i did not leave early to go shopping or to sleep at home.. i shall not waste my time to tell you in details as i don't owe you any explanation.. but all i can say is.. MYOB!!!... FEEL FREE TO ASK YOUR BOSS IF YOU WANTED TO DO THE SAME...

woke up at 7.20 am which is unusual for me on a Sunday.. hee2x .. had a hard time waking up the kids.. managed to reach the CC at 8.15 am sharp.. but we ended up waiting for more than an hour before finally getting on the bus and off to Clementi CC.. by the time we reached there, the other silat groups have already arrived.. Sunda Pajajaran, Seligi Tunggal, Setia Hati and even the Pencak Pokolan Bawean were there.. got to know the event would last till late afternoon.. but we didn't stay till the end.. however, we managed to watch most of the performances.. the ones from Sunda are very good.. their moves are almost perfect and flawless.. i did enjoy watching the performances and you should see their attire.. all different kinds and styles.. it's really awesome.. hope i'll be able to see my sons in the gelanggang one day..

First i'd like to wish my beloved sister and all teachers, past and present, a HAPPY TEACHERS' DAY!! Your contribution and dedication to our young generation are greatly appreciated.. my sons had their teachers' day celebrations yesterday.. managed to buy gifts for their form teachers on thursday nite.. hope they liked the presents.. : )

such a busy day for me.. its again my working saturday and so as usual brought my 3 soldiers along.. after work waited for hubby as he wanted to visit Daud.. stayed in the hospital till abt 2.30pm and then off we went to majlis cukur rambut for Lin's baby at CCK.. didn't get to meet my sisters.. one was in KL and the other went there later.. went straight home after that and while i cook, the boys get ready for their silat.. i went to watch them training after cooking and washing up.. got to know that tomorrow they will be having Pertandingan Silat Tunas Mekar at Clementi CC.. and attendance is compulsory.. and they have to be at the Jurong Green CC at 8.15 am! .. so there goes my wish of waking up late on Sunday.. haizzzz
