today i receive the long service award in recognition of my 10 years of service with the hospital.. it's exactly 10 years on 1st May.. just got to know about it this morning.. we received the award during the nurses' day celebrations.. i receive a certificate and $500 shopping voucher.. yippppppeeeeeeee... most of the staff were surprised that i have been here for so long.. well i guess it sure pays to be patient.. nevertheless, its such a wonderful surprise..

and since today is the last friday of the month.. it's late night shoppingggg.. and it's the first time i managed to persuade my hubby to go.. went home to shower and change.. left home at 8 pm with the kids.. took mrt to somerset and reached centrepoint at almost 9.. to tell the truth, we felt out of place cos most of the ppl there are all either teenagers or single adults or young couples.. while on the way home i feel like we are the only family with young kids in the mrt.. hahahahha.. its ard 11 pm but the kids doesn't seem sleepy.. in fact they were the noisiest in the mrt, laughing and joking with one another.. :D

i took urgent leave today to bring tisya to the clinic.. she's been having a bad cough since last nite and today i can see that she's wheezing.. i can't bear to see her having difficulty breathing.. cos i am asthmatic myself.. called mum and she came over.. brought tisya to Eastern Clinic at Jurong East near to my parents' house.. the medicine there was very good compared to the nearby clinics at my place.. even though it's costlier.. but i don't mind and i'm glad to see that she's getting better by the end of the day.. : )

we had another wedding today at AMK.. yesterday we went to Bob's brother's wedding there.. and today we'll be going to the block just next to Bob's.. and today i get to meet my beloved younger sis!... we haven't met for 2 weeks and we miss each other so much.. we always make it a point to meet up at least once every week.. so not seeing her for 2 weeks is long enough for us.. and she had also bought a new hp! a pda phone!!.. woww.. with internet access and touchscreen.. i had bookmarked my blog in her hp.. so make sure you regularly check it out so you can be kept updated ok sis?

after the wedding we went to TKC cos mum had wanted to buy something.. i was shocked to see that the place has become a 'port' for indo maids who've got their day off.. it wasn't like that the last time i went there.. not that i'm against them.. but isn't it better if they spend the day at the beach? at least there are things to see and they can enjoy the sea breeze.. while waiting for mama we went to Banquet at Lion City Hotel for coffee... it's so relax there.. unlike the one at Haig Road.. went back home after that...

Aimin has finally agreed to join silat.. thanks to mum.. but not before mum bought for him hot wheels and promised to buy him a vcd later on.. it took me months to persuade him to join the self defence lesson.. Khairin had joined earlier and he was enjoying it.. At first Aimin seem not in the mood to go but we reminded him abt the promise he made to my mum.. but after the first lesson i think he found it enjoyable.. now both of them frequently practised what they learnt either at home or outside.. I hope the course will do them good (seeing the increasing cases of bullying and attacks outside or in school).. As for Tisya, we will enrol her when she's old enough.. for now i think it's sufficient for her to watch her brothers in action every wed and saturday.. And i hope my kids can pursue further and represent the country in international competitions.. that is my dream... :)

went to another wedding today at Bukit Batok.. we went together with mak and mama.. met elder sis & family there.. i must admit i felt quite disappointed that younger sis did not go to the wedding.. since we always went to functions like this together.. hmmmm.. the wedding is a simple one.. heard it's the first time for the groom's parents.. i flashed back to the time when my brother got married.. we were all very excited.. there was a dinner on saturday for my bro's friends and colleagues in the SAF and then the reception on sunday for relatives and friends of my parents.. i remembered there was a dikir barat performance on both days.. can't remember the group's name.. and i recalled how fun it was to watch my bro's colleagues who were in the house to change to their formal uniforms, the white one with the red belt.. and they all lined up in two rows with their swords up when the bride and groom came into the wedding area.. my sisters' and my wedding are equally splendid too, thanks to my beloved parents.. too bad all my siblings are married.. gotta wait for the next batch of generations .. that is my nieces and nephews (my kids included) !!.. that makes me wonder.. who will be the first one to go down the aisle.. hmmmmmmm

today my 2 boys are down with stomach flu.. khairin started first.. he woke us up as early as 2 am when he vomitted.. a lot.. we cleaned up the mattress and went back to sleep.. at 4 am he vomitted again.. then later aimin's turn to wake up and vomitted.. i knew there's something wrong with them.. my initial guess was food poisoning.. so we took leave and brought them to the clinic.. but the doc said they got the stomach flu.. and it's contagious.. on the way back home, tisya started vomitting.. oh no.. all the three of them are down.. they all complained of stomach ache.. i applied medicated oil and give them their medicines.. in the afternoon, mak and mama came to visit while aimin & khairin were sleeping.. mak stayed at our place while mama went out to drive cab.. the kids spent the whole day lying down and watching tv..

i took leave today since school is closed because of youth day.. lis, tet, bam2 and aminah came early in the morning.. so happy to see them.. mak also came.. we karaoke and chatted with mak.. mak also sang 'kau ku rindukan' by gingerbread.. its been some time since we heard mak sang.. she used to sing at our relative's wedding functions.. her fav songs are 'selamat pengantin baru' which she usually sang at my cousins' weddings and 'sri mersing'..

at 2 pm we went to IMM again to have late lunch.. but the kids wanted to play at the wet playground.. so we brought them there first.. by the time they finished playing and lis had fetched mik, its already 4 pm.. then we went to eat at banquet and went back home after that...

To start off.. Happy Youth Day to all the youths esp my nieces Jaja & Yasmine and my nephew Iman.. hope you can achieve your dreams and make your family and nation proud..

finally able to get a rest today.. lis sms me early in the morning and asked if we wanted to go sentosa today.. they came over after tet's piano lesson and we had karaoke session.. mak also came earlier.. bad went to the market to buy fish and veg.. i didnt go with him cos it's such a hot day .. hehehhehe.. hey, dont say i bully him ok.. if me and the kids were to tag along i think it would take a longer time to reach home.. its true.. :D

in the late afternoon everyone felt sleepy and dozed off.. so there goes our plan to go sentosa.. heheheh.. but i dont mind cos its already late and its such a waste if we were to go at this time.. the kids as usual had a fun time playing together (or fighting at times).. after maghrib we went to IMM for a while.. we wanted to buy school shoes for the boys since theirs was already torn.. went home after that..
